We’re a small cottage law bakery started by two sisters with a love for baking, family, and the dream of building something of our own.

For years, our family encouraged us to start a bakery, but the timing never quite felt right. One of us was a stay-at-home mom, the other eventually decided to leave her job, and somewhere between a lot of encouragement, a little courage, and just enough money to get started — we finally took the leap.

The name El Corazón de Mamá is especially meaningful to us. We chose it in honor of our mother, who passed away six years ago. We wanted this bakery to be a way of carrying a piece of her with us and commemorating the love, warmth, and importance of family that she left behind.

Since then, we’ve been learning everything as we go. From building our own website and figuring out Google spreadsheets to track costs and revenue, to testing, tweaking, and improving our recipes, every part of this business has been a hands-on learning experience.

El Corazón de Mamá is still growing, and so are we. Our hope is that one day this little cottage bakery becomes something much bigger — a brick-and-mortar bakery where we can continue sharing the recipes, flavors, and love that started it all.

For now, we’re grateful for every order, every market, every returning customer, and every person supporting us while we build this dream one pastry at a time.
